Sermon From The Pastor:
The Passion of God for the Harvest
The intense interest of God in the fullness of the harvest
is
revealed in the words waiteth and precious fruit (James 5:7).
The word wait, means
“to await something; to expect or look for.”
The heart of God yearns for the harvest, a gathering of blood-bought
men
and women. He is not willing that any should perish. He longs
to save all men
through faith in His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
He sends His Holy
Spirit to convict individuals of their sins and to convert
them through His
saving grace. The earnest desire of His heart is to rescue the lost from the bondage of Satan.
In
the midst of all the decay and deceit in the church and the world today,
God is at work
completing the harvest, which began on the Day of Pentecost.
He is patently waiting
for the grain to ripen, which signifies the crop is ready to be gathered.
As people of
God involved in evangelism, we need to look away from the mundane and the monotonous and look heavenward to catch sight of
what God is doing in these days prior to the Second Coming of Jesus.
May we have
a clear picture of God as the husbandman working and waiting for the harvest.
God has a burden
for each soul, do you know a lost soul today!
